| | Narrative Description of Project |
|---|
The project entailed the objective of developing construction documents to implement the installation of 2,000 km of water supply pipeline within the City of Lagos. The size of the pipeline ranged in diameter from 100 mm to 1200 mm. The project entailed the installation of these mains throughout the entire area of the City of Lagos. The services to the people were to be provided for 80,000 service connections which were to be installed as part of the project. In the lower income areas water supply would be from community waterpoints and 350 of these were contemplated in the design. The capital value of the entire installation was estimated by the World Bank at being $200,000,000 in the Staff Appraisal Report prepared by the Bank. This was the scope of the project for which Reid Crowther had responsibility. |
